  • What style of martial arts do your books cover?

  • The easiest answer is that each book contains techniques from many of the styles that cover that subject. For example, in Wrist Locks, you'll find jiu jitsu, aikido, chin na, and also locks from some of the Filipino arts.

The Punch Papers doesn't focus on a particular style. Chapters stay faithful to Bruce Lee's principles of -- efficiency, adaptability, timing, etc.... These books focus on the practical, rather than on specific styles.

  • How are your books different from other martial arts books?

    Punchharder.com deals with practical application.

I hate to say this, but if you have been into the martial arts for any length of time, then you have bought and read some pretty lousy books. You have read books that covered history, and talked "around" teh style. They never helped you master the martial artists.

At the most, they taught you a few basics. Nothing that would really help you in an emergency.

There are some books out there that are filled with techniques -- some good, some bad -- but the problem is that you don't learn how to really use the techniques. You don't get hints on what to do when something unexpected happens.

Mine aren't the only good books covering practical application of martial arts -- but books with useful information are few and far between.

We always offer a satisfaction guarantee.

How many other martial arts books offer a similar money-back offer?

  •

  • Can't I learn all of this from martial arts videos?

The answer is no. I am sad to say, but most of the videos are too style-specific.

You don't learn to generalize to different situations -- different styles -- different needs.

WIth so many topics in The Punch Papers, you are forced to think. You really will find something that will help you improve.

Many of the exercises in 10 Days to Better Knife Fighting are proprietary. You'll find them in 10 Days ... and that's it.

No, at the present time, you won't be able to learn the information from these books from videos...

But stay tuned. Rumor has it that we'll have a DVD available within a year.

  •

  • What if I don't understand a martial arts tactic or technique from one of the books?

I am here to answer your questions.

I can help get you unstuck, if that ever happens. Try me. Email me with your question, and we'll work through it together. Keep in mind, I am pretty opinionated when it comes to punches. If the technique isn't practical, then I won't recommend it.

I try to answer all my emails -- as fast as is possible and convenient. Keep in mind, I often answer more than 500 martial-arts related emails per week. But I will help, even if it takes me a few days to get back to you.

  •

  • What do you mean when you say you offer a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee?

That's just what it says. You get your money back if you feel you didn't learn anything from this book.

Hey, I want you to get something useful from these books. Take away something practical -- something that will better help you to defend yourself and others. You need to learn something that you will have with you forever.

If you don't pick up a principle -- a tactic -- maybe a killer joint lock -- possibly a new punch ... as I said, if you felt you wasted your time, just ask for a prompt and courteous refund.

We are proud of our customer service.

  • Whom do I contact for support?

You may contact me directly, if you'd like.

My name is Keith Pascal, and I am the author.

  •

  • Who is Keith Pascal?

I am a martial arts writer. I have four books in print, two more soon to be releasd, and four more waiting in the hopper.

I also write and edit Martial Arts Mastery: A Tell-All of Tips, Tactics, and Techniques. This weekly newsletter goes out to thousands of subscribers.

If you take the articles published in MAM and combine them with articles published by other sources (The Martial Arts Professional, The Dragon's List, Grandmaster.cc, etc.), I have published 600+ articles in the last five years alone.

Before turning to writing full time, I was a high school teacher for twelve years.

I have studied martial arts since I was six years old. For the last 25 years, most of my adult life, I have been studying a style based on the teachings of Bruce Lee, from a Bruce-Lee original student.

I live in Oregon with my wife Kate, a high school teacher who also teaches martial arts. Together, we are raising our seven-year old daughter, Quinn.

Quinn helps us raise our dog, Lucy, and our two cats, Murphy and Stanley.

  •

  • Should I purchase a hardback, a CD-ROM, or a download?

    There are advantages to each.

I love the feel of a hardback. And I like collecting martial arts books on my shelf. I like having a ready reference. I also have a fair number of autographed books. They mean more to me.

With an immediate download, you save a few bucks. Also, it really is immediate. In a few minutes, you'll be learning new locks, and important martial arts principles.

A CD-ROM offers the best of both worlds. It will take a few days to get it to you in the mail, but then you have it in an easy-to-store format.

You view it on your computer, or download it to your portable, and read it on the go.

With a download, you need a little memory for the ebook and the ebonuses. With a CD-ROM, you don't need to save it on your computer. You have it forever.

Right now, Wrist Locks is the only book available in hardback.

  •

  • When will your next title be released in hardback and/or on CD-ROM?

Look for our next hardback tbefore year's end.

Our next CD -ROM has just been released -- you'll see another soon.

  •

  • Any clues about the subject of your next book?

I am working on a demonstration book. It will help martial artists improve their reputations. And you won't even have to perform on stage or at a public demonstration. You'll appear super fast.

You'll also see another weapons book before too long. And some of our early ebooks could use makeovers.

  •

  • Where did you learn these great tactics and techniques?

I have a genius for a teacher. Steve Golden was an original Ed Parker student. And also an original Bruce Lee student.

Some say that Steve is one of the only Bruce Lee students to continue progressing.

All I know is he has helped me to develop as a martial artist since 1980.

I owe a lot to him.
